The problem

Your best work shouldn't expire at 2:00 p.m.

You know what you're capable of. But somewhere between the morning and the end of the day, your attention gets expensive.

The afternoon focus tax

Re-reading the same sentence. Losing the thread in meetings. Making important decisions on whatever fuel is left.

If nothing changes, afternoons feel like a slog and there's no energy left at night for the ones you love the most.

Why pushing harder backfires

You can't grind your way to better focus with the brakes dragging.

Picture yourself on an on-ramp in a sports car. You need to merge, so you get ready to mash the gas... and then you smell smoke from the brakes.

You could floor it and hope. Or you could release the parking brake and accelerate with less effort.

If you're a driven individual, this is frustrating in a specific way. You know what you're capable of, and you watch the afternoon slip away anyway.

I know that feeling, because my own brain worked against me for years.

“The goal isn't to force focus.
It's to make focus easier.”
“Without your work, I wasn't getting to the brain. I was working on habits and cutting distractions, but I was hitting a wall. You've helped me activate my brain in ways I couldn't have on my own.”
Justin, Business Owner

Most focus advice tells you to press harder on the gas:

  • Hacks, tips, and tricks, which mostly work like band-aids
  • Rigid routines that fall apart the first busy week
  • Organizers and planners that only work if you keep them up
  • Generic advice written for somebody else's brain

All of them depend on discipline and willpower.

How does that make any sense when people who struggle with focus and attention oftentimes also struggle with discipline and willpower?

When the brakes are dragging, the part of your brain that runs discipline and willpower drags too.

Release the brakes, and discipline and willpower cost less. And doing what you want takes less effort.

Who's driving?

Your monkey brain or your CEO brain?

The way I explain it, you've got two drivers competing for the wheel.

Painting of a calm executive at a desk while a panicking monkey in a suit crashes cymbals as the office burns
Your CEO brain (prefrontal cortex) and your monkey brain (amygdala), competing for the same desk.

The planner

Your CEO brain

Plans, focuses, pays attention, and keeps you on task.

The alarm

Your monkey brain

Watches for danger and reacts fast. It has saved your life, or at least your afternoon, more than once.

Both are good to have. The trouble starts when everything around you keeps telling your brain it's under pressure.

Screens, short nights, the wrong food, and vision and balance that are working overtime all add up. The monkey brain grabs the wheel, and the CEO brain gets whatever fuel is left over.

For a lot of driven people, it works like a switch that's either all on or all off. The training turns it into a volume knob you control.

“I'm out of fight or flight and 100% more in my CEO brain. That's been one of the biggest changes.”
Business Owner / Focus Amplifiers User

Your Brain Brakes

Three Brain Brakes most people never check.

I cover nine Brain Brakes in the training. These three show up first for most people, and they're where the drills start.

Vision working overtime

Rereading the same paragraph. Feeling drained after a day of screens. Your eyes may be working overtime just to process what's in front of you.

Balance out of sync

When your eyes and ears don't agree, your brain spends energy sorting it out all day. Downstream, it often shows up as tightness around the eyes, a stiff neck, and a stiff upper back.

If you're brave and you think it's safe, check yourself: stand next to a wall or counter, close your eyes, lift one foot, and see if you can count to 10 without losing your balance. Then try the other foot.

Stress control

When the monkey brain is on high alert, every interruption feels urgent. It grabs the fuel your CEO brain needs to stay on task.

The Brain Brake Audit

Release the brakes. Then do your best work.

Don't take my word for it. Check one of your Brain Brakes right now. It takes about 60 seconds.

Try it before you buy anything

Ear Pulls: 60 seconds, nothing needed but your hands

I'd rather you feel this than take my word for it.

  1. Check. Keep your shoulders still by leaning back against a chair or backing up against a wall. Turn your head to the right and to the left through your comfortable range a few times. Notice your range of motion, your speed, how comfortable the movement feels, and whether there's a crunchy sensation. Don't move into pain or force the movement.
  2. Drill. Don't move into pain or force the movement...only move at a speed that feels safe for you. Grab the tops of your ears and lightly and quickly tug up and back 5 to 10 times. Then tug straight up 5 to 10 times, then up and forward 5 to 10 times. Next, grab your earlobes and tug straight down 5 to 10 times, and finally down and back 5 to 10 times.
  3. Recheck. Turn your head the same way you did the first time, and notice the same four things: range of motion, speed, comfort, and any crunchy sensation.

What to expect: About 6 out of 10 people notice their head turns farther, faster, or more quietly the first time. If you didn't notice a change, that's not a bad sign. It usually means you were already at your full range, your brain's protecting you, or your tank is empty for the day.

In the training, we include modifications that can dramatically improve the results.

Why this matters for focus: Your neck is one of the first places stress shows up in your body. When something startles you, your eyes blink first, and your neck and shoulders tighten milliseconds later. The communication goes both ways. When your neck and shoulders relax, that's a safety signal to your brain, and the monkey brain can start letting go of the wheel.

“My neck feels better now. There was too much tension for a while, and these exercises really help.”
“M”, Business Owner

“...a hands-on training manual instead of vague motivation. The drills are clear, practical, and easy to plug into a busy day.”

Michael Walloch Amazon review of the book

And here's where this gets really interesting...

In as little as 5 to 10 minutes of the NeuroSync calming, focus, and attention protocols, we've observed:

  • 20 to 47% average improvement in combined speed and accuracy with pistols, and some shooters get 2 to 3X better
  • 20 to 30% better free-throw percentages
  • 2 to 5X tighter putting groups
  • 20% less tee-shot dispersion
  • Up to 2X faster, easier reading with increased comprehension

How can the same protocols affect shooting, golf, basketball, reading, and focus?

Because most solutions start downstream, where the problem shows up. NeuroSync goes upstream.

When you improve the brain and nervous-system functions involved in attention, visual processing, stress, and performance, the effects can show up in very different ways downstream.

That's why we focus on Brain Brakes. Instead of pushing harder on the gas, find what's putting on the brakes.

What it looks like in real life

The officer who couldn't qualify

An officer on the East Coast couldn't pass her mandatory qualifier from 15 feet. She was flinching and hitting the ground, and weeks of help from good instructors hadn't fixed it.

One of my instructors ran her through a single drill. Twenty seconds later she was on target, and two rounds after that she shot the first 2-inch group of her career.

Jack's catching

Jack was catching about 20 percent of throws standing still. After a couple of minutes of vision and balance drills, he was catching 80 to 100 percent running full speed.

Decision fatigue

Parole boards approve about 65 percent of cases early in the day and about 10 percent by late afternoon.

The judges and the laws stay the same all day. What changes is how much fuel they have left.

These results aren't typical, and yours will vary.

My own brain was working against me.

I have ADHD, and after more than 15 concussions where I lost time, it got a lot worse. Focus, reading, sleep, and my energy all went downhill, and life kind of sucked.

Then I met Matt Bush, an applied neurology coach in Phoenix. He ran me through about 20 minutes of vision and balance drills, and it basically took 10 years off the clock. I felt incredible, and I wanted to know why.

That question turned into years of training, sometimes more than 150 hours a year, with Wharton Neurology, Next Level Neuro, Z-Health, Sports Vision Pros, and others.

I spent a lot of that time as a neurology consultant in the tactical world, where lives can depend on performance. I usually had a few minutes, no gear, and a class full of people watching. So I had to find drills that create measurable change fast with nothing but what's in my pockets.

For over a decade, I've helped special operations, executives, elite athletes, and driven students dramatically improve focus and attention to unleash performance using applied neurology. I've helped more than 100,000 people so far with live, video, and written training.

I'm also a Christian. A lot of performance advice leaned on meditation and mantras that didn't fit my faith. Neurology is simply how we were designed, so these drills fit anyone's beliefs.

A hands-on training manual instead of vague motivation

...the first one that felt like a hands-on training manual instead of vague motivation. The drills are clear, practical, and easy to plug into a busy day. I started trying a few of the neurological exercises while reading and was shocked that one of them increased the range of motion in my neck in less than 90 seconds—I could literally turn my head farther right after doing it.

Worth way more than I paid for it!

Before I got this, my brain becomes foggy and unable to focus on a specific task until completion. I've noticed that each consecutive day I've been able to calm my nervous system and maintain focus on a task a little longer each time. The drills are great too because they can be done anywhere...

Questions, answered

Good decisions feel clear.

Who is Focus Amplifiers for?

Driven entrepreneurs and professionals, tactical operators, athletes, and students who want to perform at a high level. It works just as well for anyone who simply wants their focus struggles gone.

What do the NeuroSync Protocols do?

NeuroSync Protocols calm fight or flight and synchronize the senses: vision, balance, body awareness, and even internal awareness. They help turn up the volume on underactivated systems and turn down the volume on the overactivated ones, so you can learn faster, remember longer, and perform better under stress. They were created and tested for tactical applications where lives can depend on performance, and have been proven across numerous sports, business applications, students, and everyday life.

How fast will I notice a difference?

A lot of people notice something in the first session, like the Ear Pulls above. The bigger changes build with practice, the same way training at a gym does.

How much time does it take?

Usually 5 to 15 minutes a day. A lot of the drills take 20 to 60 seconds, so you can do them at a stoplight, in line for coffee, or right before a meeting.

What is included?

Interactive drills, video and audio training, and the digital book are included with both options. Ask MikeAI is included as a bonus with generous fair use.

Do I need special equipment?

No. Everything runs on the phone, computer, or TV you already have. There's nothing to download and no password to remember. The drills need your eyes, your hands, and sometimes a pen.

What if a drill doesn't work for me?

Not every drill works for everyone every time. If one does nothing, or even makes things a little worse, it usually means the dose needs to change. Ask MikeAI will help you adjust it.

How is this different from brain-training games?

Brain-training games work the CEO brain while the monkey brain still has the wheel, and there's very little evidence they carry over to real life. This training starts with the Brain Brakes, then covers the fuel and kryptonites that games never touch.

I don't do meditation or mantras. Is any of that in here?

No. I'm a Christian, and I built this on neurology, which is simply how we were designed. There's nothing in it that asks you to meditate, chant, or believe anything.

How do the $7 and $47 options work?

The same checkout offers $7 monthly or $47 once for lifetime access. It opens with lifetime selected, so choose monthly there if that is the option you want. Both include the complete system and the 30-day money-back guarantee.

What success looks like

An afternoon that holds up. More of you left for life after work.

Release your Brain Brakes with short drills and a practical system you can keep using.
